Please read this Privacy Statement carefully prior to providing your personal data into the Startupr Hong Kong Limited online system. If you do not agree with this Privacy Statement, you should not provide your personal data into the system.

This Privacy Statement covers any personal data that you submit through Startupr’s online system including, but not limited to:

  • Name, addresses, telephone numbers, company name, email addresses, debit card or credit card information, other contact information;

Your data protection and data security

By submitting your personal details in Startupr’s online system, you agree on providing your explicit consent to Startupr Hong Kong Limited to control, save, transfer and process your personal data on a need-to-know basis as outlined in this Privacy Statement.

By submitting your personal details in the Register Company form, you agree that your personal detials will be used in order to establish a Limited Company

Collection and use of personal data

Startupr Hong Kong collects your personal data for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and will not further process your personal data in a way incompatible with those purposes.

Information security

Your personal data will be treated with utmost confidentiality on a need-to-know basis only. In certain specific circumstances, Startupr Hong Kong Limited will need to transmit your personal data, or information based on your personal data, to third parties (such as, but not limited to Companies Registry, Inland Revenue Department) on a need-to-know basis.

Retention of Data

We only retain personal data for so long as it is necessary. Data may be archived as long as the purpose for which the data was used still exists.

Data Security, Data Integrity, and Access

We take all reasonable steps to protect our customers’ information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alternation and destruction. We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure such information. Statupr only processes personal information in a way that I compatible with and relevant for the purpose for which it was collected or authorized by the individual. Please bear in mind, that transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do the best to protect our customers’ personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of the data transmitted to Startupr’s websites; any transmission is at your own risk. We use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

How to Access or Correct Your Personal Data

Startupr allows customers to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate personal and company information via email info@startupregistry.hk.

Account Verification

After registering an account with Startupr, you will be asked to submit various forms of identification, as set forth on your Startupr Account Page. These forms of identification may include a driver’s license, passport, utility bills, proof of address or any further documents validating yourself.  The more forms of identification that you send to us, the higher your Verification Status will be. Customers with a low Verification Status pose a much higher risk for us. We reduce that risk by imposing certain limits on those accounts. This system reduces fraud and enables us to keep our prices low.  We encourage our customers to raise their Verification Status as much as possible, which will enable us to remove restrictions on the account.

Startupr provides access to software tools for businesses who choose to manage documents in relation to company formation.

Password

When your registration is complete, you may access your Startupr Account Page and other secure areas of backoffice.startupr.hk using a password.  You are responsible for safeguarding the password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You agree to take sole responsibility for any activities or actions under your password, whether or not you have authorized such activities or actions. You will immediately notify Startupr of any unauthorized use of your password.

Customers responsibility

To keep the contact details up to date, at least one email address, second email address is recommended, phone number.

With whom we may share information we collect

We will not share your personal information with others except as indicated below, or except when we inform you in advance and give you the opportunity to opt out. We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers, such as credit-card payment processors and shipping services, performing services on our behalf;
  • Other businesses with which we partner or which we carefully select to offer you products, services, and promotions through our website or offline; and
  • Other third parties in limited circumstances, such as complying with legal requirements, preventing fraud, and protecting the safety of our users.

Termination of Services

You will pay all company fees to Company Registry for NAR1, Renewal of Business Registration Certificate, Taxes as well as other services relating to keep the company in good standing. If Startupr finds out that you have not been paying goverment fees or Startupr fees. Startupr may, at its sole and absolute discretion, suspend provision of all services and terminate the engagement under this letter immediately without notice.

SSL Security capabilities and policy for transmission of payment card details (SSL policy)

PayDollar is a leading, secure and reliable international payment service provider to banks and online merchants since 2000. Customers’ payment details are securely transmitted to the acquiring bank, card and payment companies for real-time transaction authorization using 256-bit Extended Validation Certificates (EV) SSL transaction encryption. PayDollar supports CVV/CVC check as well as 3-D secure authentication of Visa and MasterCard namely: Verified by VISA, MasterCard SecureCode for added security protection for both customers and merchant.

Collection of personal data

Startupr undertakes to the Client that where the Client, the Client’s Appointees or the Company deliver to Startupr confidential information, Startupr will use all reasonable endeavours to keep it confidential. Startupr in accordance with its statutory obligations protects personal information and personal data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. This clause is not applicable when Startupr is compelled by law to disclose such information.

The data is collected for a lawful purpose directly related to a function or activity of the data user who is to use the data and the collection of the data is necessary for or directly related to that purpose.
